Tyler Huggins
Originally from Montana, Tyler Huggins has always had a close relationship with nature. Whether throwing bales of hay or checking out the wildlife across 3,000 acres of his family’s Nebraska bison farm, Tyler tries to get outside whenever he can.
After earning a Ph.D. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Colorado-Boulder, Tyler spent a couple of years refining his technologies at Argonne National Laboratories before co-founding BTRFY, where he and his team are working to leverage efficiencies of biological systems to solve large societal problems, and foster a culture of sustainability and overall well-being. Oh yeah, they’re also making sustainable, tasty food that’s better for you and the environment!
When he’s not making sure BTRFY is the best it can be, Tyler can be found fixing up old houses or watching western movies with his German Shepherd.
