Molly Crabapple
Artist, comics creator and entrepreneur, Molly Crabapple has been called “a downtown phenomenon” by The New York Times and “THE artist of our time” by comedian Margaret Cho. Using her hyper-detailed Victorian pen for graphic novels, giant nightclub murals, and for clients like DC Comics, Marvel Comics, SXSW, Red Bull and the Wall Street Journal, Molly is also the founder of Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School – an alt.drawing salon with branches in 120 cities from Akron to Zagreb – which Roger Ebert recently called “inspired.” Molly has spoken at the Museum of Modern Art, The Brooklyn Museum, and in museums and universities from Helsinki to Sao Paulo.
