Judson Beaumont
Judson Beaumont tends to look at things a little differently.
Known for his engaging, whimsical and often surreal approach to furniture, design and public installations, Judson’s intrinsic passion and respect for good design, materials, and exceptional craftsmanship have brought him a worldwide reputation.
Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Judson moved to Vancouver, British Columbia in his post secondary years, and went on to graduate from Emily Carr Institute for Art and Design and found Straight Line Designs Inc. — where he creates one-of-a-kind pieces and commissions — in 1985. He has since become a Board Member for the Emily Carr Alumni Association, received a BC Achievement Award for Furniture Design in 2009 and a Creative Achievement Award of Distinction in 2014.
