Gong Szeto
Gong Szeto has been kind of busy.
He received a B.Arch in Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and has studied business, finance, economics, strategy and intellectual property law at New York University and Harvard Business School.
He was Director of Design at PEAK6 Investments, LP, a proprietary equity options trading firm and hedge fund, where he designed OptionsHouse, a next-generation retail equity options brokerage, garnering Top in Category in design and usability in Barron’s in 2008 and 2009.
He was a finalist in the 2009 Buckminster Fuller Challenge.
He holds a U.S. patent in digital television, co-invented with Sony Corporation of America.
He was formerly Chief Creative Officer of Rare Medium and partner at i/o 360 digital design, inc.
He has served on the National Boards of the AIGA and the Van Alen Institute.
He has lectured worldwide, is a recipient of numerous awards from The Art Director’s Club and the American Center for Design, was included in I.D. Magazine’s Top 40 Designers in the U.S. and Europe, and his work is in the permanent collections of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt Museum.
